I have sent the following email to flag@whitehouse.gov seeking clarification on exactly what information The White House is asking members of the American Public to provide.

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. The use of the word FISHY is vague and open to individual interpretation and thus can be a potential point of abuse.
Are you ONLY asking that FALSE statements about the 1100 page HR 3200 be reported OR are you asking that ANY FISHY statements OR conversations in opposition to the current draft of HR 3200 be sent to this email address. I ask for clarification because the above quoted paragraph mentions that these rumors are also being spread through casual conversation and I want clarification that The White House is not seeking the names and locations of those people who are opposed to the current HR 3200 draft.
If you are ONLY SEEKING information on INTERNET postings that are FALSE in regard to HR 3200 / the Presidents comments on health insurance reform, please update your blog to more accurately reflect this by being more succinct and accurate in what information The White House is requesting of members of the American Public to provide about other American Citizens.
