The suit was brought at the end of August by Democratic faithful, and lawyer, Philip Berg. Berg brought the suit contending that Obama was born outside the United States, holds dual citizenship and/or has never been naturalized or has not revoked his citizenship with a country other than the United States. Basically there is no electoral function or method to verify that a candidate for President is a natural US citizen.
